Location: just on edge of town, only a few minutes walk to town centre, harbour, shops, restaurants, gondola & local amenities. Beautiful views. Rooms: on smaller side but immaculately presented, with very comfortable bed & ensuite. No coffee or tea making in room, however ice, water & hot drinks available for free at vending machines just along corridor Staff: very pleasant and helpful Other: exterior balcony on 6th floor

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at mi-pad. The room was comfortable, clean and modern. The facilities are great, the common areas and the vending machines and everything in between. You get great views from the rooftop. The room is on the smaller side but it worked for us while travelling with a 2 year old. The location is great, right in the middle of town. I can’t recommend this place enough. The staff were great, helpful and kind. Considering you won’t be spending a lot of time in the room anyway, this place is a no-brainer.

First and foremost, the location of this property was excellent. From its proximity to the bus stop that brings you in and out from the airport, to its easy walking distance to town and all the amenities. No walking up any hilly streets to get to property AND you get an amazing view from the roof top terrace. My first impression of the property was the lovely fragrance upon walking in to reception, the modern look and cleanliness of the place - and that was just at reception! My room was modern, comfortable and very clean and whilst it was small, it was certainly perfect for a solo traveller like me. It had everything I required and Queenstown, being a place full of things to do, I was only in my room to change and rest! Whilst my room did not have a kitchen, every floor is equipped with a complimentary warm drinks machine and cold water machine which was an extremely great idea. There are also paid food vending machines as a backup which was most helpful when I was feeling slightly under the weather one night. As mentioned earlier, the roof top terrace is a real bonus, especially when staying in a room that doesn’t have a view, like my room didn’t. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and as a solo female traveller, I always felt safe coming and going at different parts of the day and night.

Well run hotel. Staff were extremely helpful. Very modern, clean, organised. View on the rooftop is amazing. It operates a bit differently to regular hotels. For example, there isn’t a little fridge in the room, but instead you can give your cold items (beer and wine etc) to the staff to store in the guests fridge which they label your items and man it. You have access to get it 24hrs a day. Also they can give you a kettle to make your own tea/coffee in your room if you don’t want to use their communal free vending machine.

Mi-Pad is situated at the end of a residential area, where the commercial area begins. Overall, it’s a decent location. The facilities are clean, and complimentary coffee is available from a vending machine. There’s a rooftop area where you can enjoy watching the sunset or sunrise from a distance. Although the rooms are small, they are sufficient for two people. Our room could get quite warm, but it cooled down nicely at night. No parking is available, but a car isn’t necessary if you plan to stay around the area—most restaurants close by 9:00 PM, and dine-in service ends at 8:30 PM. The hotel does not offer food except for a vending machine, and you can borrow a kettle, but there is no microwave. The staff were terrific. Everyone seems to be very helpful.
